Requirements for Canadian Entry to Mexico

Mexico is among a few select nations that have very few health protocols for entry for Canadians. There are currently no quarantine periods for travelers entering Mexico (as of November 2, 2020).

Mexico does not require Covid-19 tests before or after arriving; however, visitors may be subject to a temperature check and general health screening.

Canadian residents’ passports must be valid for the expected duration of your stay in Mexico.

Travelers should have valid travel insurance that covers Covid-19 for the duration of their trip.

What Covid-19 Safety Procedures Does Mexico Have in Place?

Like much of the world, cities in Mexico have made the wearing of face masks in public mandatory. Social distancing should be followed in all public spaces, hotels, restaurants, and beaches, which may be operating at limited capacity as per health and safety guidelines. There may be curfews in place to the region you are looking to travel to.
Contact your TierOne Travel Consultant for detailed information about the particular region you are looking to travel to.
