Akeela has been working in the travel industry for 35 years. Before working as a travel specialist, Akeela worked for several airlines in various capacities. Through her experience, she has been able to hone her skills and create amazing vacations for her clients time and time again.
In the travel industry, specialists have the opportunity to expand their education through travel opportunities and workshops. This is one of Akeela’s favourite parts of working in the industry. Q: What is your favourite destination?
A: Bora Bora. Remote, unblemished, unspoiled.
Q: Have you ever gone on a culinary travel vacation?
A: Many. My top favourites are Italy and France for their culinary expertise and passion for food and well-being.
Q: Where would your top destination recommendation be for couples?
A: Paul Gaugin cruise in French Polynesia. Relaxed, abundant in vegetation, sea life and great people.
Q: What is your favourite lesson learned from travel?
A: Travel educates, enriches and is a lesson in humility.
